With Rittma’s support, the Municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso has renewed its Local Strategy for Children’s Rights for the 2024–2027 period.

In 2017, the Portuguese Committee for UNICEF confirmed the Municipality of Póvoa de Lanhoso’s request to join the Child Friendly Cities Program. By signing the protocol of accession to the UNICEF Program, the municipality committed to meeting its objectives: ensuring the inclusion of children in decision-making on matters that concern them, fostering participatory citizenship, and promoting the realization of children’s rights at the local level.

Building on this path—marked by continuous learning and development, evaluation, and reflection on the previous Action Plan—Póvoa de Lanhoso has once again brought together local stakeholders to design, in a concerted and participatory way, the renewal of its Local Strategy for Children’s Rights, with a four-year horizon, along with the respective Annual Action Plans.

Rittma supported the municipality in preparing the new strategy and the Annual Action Plan for 2025. For children’s rights.
